there's no place like home

i heard this song that Miranda Lambert sings called "the house that built me"- i just love this song b/c it makes me think of my home where i grew up- it seems when the world is falling apart I can just go back home and it makes it all better even for just a few min.- sitting in my chair I sat in beside my dad every meal- walking in my bedroom where there were lots of laughs, tears, dreams and happiness- sitting on the couch remembering all the talks I had with my family- just to go back home makes everything better!

I love this little boy- he is so sweet and kind hearted and would never hurt a fly!

The other day Ethan had found a worm and he was talking to the worm and gave the worm a name "wormie"- and then Cullen came over and Ethan was showing Cullen Wormie and Cullen looked at the worm and then stepped on it has hard as he could- Oh poor Ethan- he cried and said he was going to pray for Wormie so he could go to heaven.

Ethan has fallen in love with one of the kittens- Nathan and I originally said we were not keeping any kittens but watching Ethan with this kitten we could not stand to give it away. Ethan goes to get the kitten every morning and puts it in his lap. He has named the kitten Mr. Fuzzy Pants. And when the kitten would cry Ethan would meow like a cat. He does it so good I thought it was the mommy cat. The kitten would stop crying and now when Ethan gets him/her- it lays right in Ethan's lap and is so happy-

Ethan will be 5 in less than 2 months and he is so excited. He keeps asking "when I am 5 how old will Ava be?" He thinks one day he is going to be older than her-

kittens,,, kittens,,, and more kittens.....

Last spring we got 2 "male" cats to keep the mice away- 2 weeks ago Ethan and I got home and heard something crying- we looked and looked everywhere- I could not understand what in the world that noise was, then Ethan said "I found kittens"... SURPRISE... Kittens- 4 in the garage - so that cat was not fat and not a boy like we originally thought-then this past weekend Nathan and I were on our anniversary trip and get a phone call- the other cat had 3 kittens- ARE YOU Kiddin' me? 7 KITTENS AND 2 CATS...... fun times! if you know of someone that wants kittens please let me know.. they will be ready in a few wks!

I married my best friend!

22 years old and not a clue about life- I just knew I was in love with the best thing that ever had happened to me (even if he was from Johnston County)

the other day Cullen, Ethan and myself were in the kitchen- I went to the laundry room to take the clothes out of the dryer and I hear Ethan say in his sweet, calm voice..."mom you better come see this"

today I took the kids to Mrs. Rebecca's so Ava could get a hair cut- then Ethan wanted his hair green so he got up in the chair-as we were leaving I looked back and guess who was crawling in the chair... yep... Mr. Cullen--- so Mrs. Rebecca gave him a new dew--- too cute and he knows it!
