Field trip to Uncle Waynes

SNAKES... Yes, SNAKES... It was time for Wayne to feed his snakes. I thought it would be an awesome idea for the kids to see how animals eat.  We talked about the cycle of life and how God made each animal different and special so they could eat and survive.  Ethan video taped it so he could give a presentation to his class.  It was a great day. We are so glad Uncle Wayne was about to teach us about the different types of snakes.

The Lee Family

We have been so blessed to have loving and caring friends. This family means a lot to me. I love seeing our children make memories just like their dads did growing up.

Lights, Camera, Ava Grace

Ava has been in an acting class for a few months and she is beyond thrilled about it.  She had her first short play. We are so proud of her. Being on stage just comes naturally to her. Can't wait to see what the future holds for my Ava.

Classical Conversations

This is our 3rd year at CC. We just love the program and all the Christian families. The kids get to participate in really cool activities, they learn amazing things and the friends we have made are so special to us. When we arrive we have 15 min. for opening before everyone goes to their class. A family does a presentation each week. There have been some awesome presentations. Our first year, Nathan talked about his trip to Africa. The next year we talked about our cows and this year we talked about our trip to Hawaii. Every Monday the kids have to do a Presentation in their class.
I am so proud of all the kids!  At the beginning of the year Cullen would not go up in front of his class unless I was up there with him. Now he goes right up there and speaks so clearly.

Ava always presents amazing presentations. From places she has been, companies she has started, activities at church she has participated in or stories she has written.

Ethan was amazing too!  This year just about every Monday he presented a Bible Verse that he had memorized. That is 24 Bible verses plus The Lords Prayer.

I could not be more proud of my smart children.

at night he sings to me....

Every night he wants me to lay with him. He sings twinkle twinkle little star and You are my sun shine to me and rubs my face. my love, my Cullen.

Cullen's conversation

Every Tuesday Mrs. Lisa, Cullen's speech therapist comes to work with Cullen.  He has been with her for 3 years and he LOVES her.
This past week when she was leaving she shared her conversation she had with Cullen.

Cullen:  "My mom says she is old, she is not old. She is lucky."
Lisa: "Why is your mom so lucky?"
Cullen:  "Because she has me."

The next week Cullen told Mrs. Lisa this.

Cullen:  "You need to go back to school."
Mrs. Lisa:  "Why?"
Cullen:  "Because you can't understand anything I am saying!"

He says this to a Speech Therapist. HA HA HA!

when a child prays.....

There is just something about when a child prays. The innocence and the sincerity they have.  We pray every morning for people on our prayer list. Most have cancer and it breaks my heart.  Cullen will volunteer to pray. He sweetly says "God heal them, please God, heal them."
He will name each and every person.
There is just something about when a child prays.

I am so glad Nathan is teaching this subject to them... I am actually learning too.

My Sweet Ethan

Today after church Ethan gave me a heart ornament. I asked him where did he get it and he told me that   every Sunday at Sunday School he earns Bible Bucks for bringing his Bible and doing other things. He gets one Bible Buck every Sunday. The Sunday School Teacher sets up a store and they can buy things with their Bible Bucks. Toys etc. Ethan had saved up 7 Bible Bucks so that took 7 weeks and with anything he could have gotten for himself he bought me this sweet ornament.
I almost cried. His heart is so kind. He is such a special boy and I know God has great plans for him.
I love you Ethan Wallace with all my heart.

cullen's love song for me...

Tonight as I was laying with Cullen he told me he had made up a love song for me,

"My mommy is so butiful, my mommy is so sweet. I love my mommy so much and she loves me. My mommy is so butiful, my mommy is so sweet. I love my mommy so much and she loves me."

I am so lucky

2014 Ski trip

We love, love, love to ski. This is our 4th year going and it is so fun. I am so thankful that our family is able to do these things. I am also thankful our children try new things. Ava was able to do a Black Diamond this year with me. I am super excited now that she can ski so well she can go with me. Next year Ethan will be right there with us. Nathan has come a long way too. When I met him he did not know how to ski. Cullen is skiing so good. I love watching him. It was a great get away and wonderful family time.

Ava singing at church

My sweet Ava Grace has a passion to sing. She loves it. She has been in choir for a while at church and she was asked to sing in the morning worship. She did a duet. We are so proud of her. So talented.

Ava signed up to sing a solo on a Sunday night. She sang "It's a beautiful day."
She had the whole church clapping and after everyone came up to her to tell her what a great job she did. Even the choir director for the adults is ready to recruit her.

I am so proud of Ava!
