Happy 7th Birthday
Happy, Happy Birthday to my Baby Boy Cullen. You are the laughter to our quiet, the hugs to our kisses, the love to our hearts. I have never met a child that loves their family more than you do. You are always saying I love you to one of us. You are always thinking about your family. You are so special to us and I am so thankful to God for you.
We partied all weekend! We went to Frankie's and he took Will Standley his friend, we went out to eat and then we had a party at the house with the whole family.
What we are learning!
Dissenting Cray Fish and Owl Pellets, giving presentations on Rocks and Minerals, looking at Pig Organs to identify them and compare to human organs we learned about last year.
Cullen and the things he says.....at age 6 1/2
I was sweating bullets because you never know what Cullen will say and they are Democrats.
2. Ava did something to Cullen and he looked at her with a serious look and said, "You should be ashamed!"
3. We were at Mura eating dinner and we had an awesome waiter. He would fill Cullen's Coke up before it was even half way gone. As the waiter walked away Cullen said, "When I am a millionaire I am going to have him has my Butler and I will pay him $100."
Thank goodness the waiter had walked away because he was black!
Sweet things.
Cullen sings "You are my sunshine" with me at night.
Cullen told me "Mommy you are the most beautifulest thing ever."
Cullen said he wants to be a shot doctor when he grows up. He would say, "Come here sonny boy this won't hurt a bit."
Joke of the day by Cullen Evans,
"Why did the chicken cross the road?" to loose feathers, get it, road kill.
Ava told Cullen his hair was dirty blonde and Cullen said "I'm not dirty!"
In Hawaii Cullen loved the Hot tub, He would get in it and say, "This is the life for Cullie."
Cullen told Ethan, "God knows when you are lying."
I was rewarding Cullen with ice cream because he had done so well in speech class and he said why not reward sissy and Ethan too, that would be nice.
Cullen will talk about Jesus in a minute. Nathan was talking about the lad on tv that is a great cook he would marry her if something happened to me and Cullen said no daddy the Ten Commandments say don't commit adultery then about 10 min. later Nathan was talking about working on Sunday and then Cullen spoke up and said Dad the Ten Commandments say you have to rest on the Sabbath.
Cullen told Will Standley his friend, "We are bros."
Cullen told Ethan to respect his Elders.
Cullen told his class if he had a million dollars he would, #1 help his Granny and Papa, get a mansion, give some to church, have a butler.
Cullen pulled up his shirt and said, "Mom I don't have a six pack, I have a bone pack."
We were at the mall and Ethan got to go to all his stores and then Ava went to all her stores, Cullen spoke up and said when can I go to my store? I said, "What is it called?"
He said, "HOME"
Clayton Idol
I love Ava. She is not afraid to sing in front of people. She decided to try out for the Clayton Idol. Just the fact that she had to perform a song with no music in front of strangers is enough for a metal. She did not make it but a valuable lesson was learned. Very proud of the young woman she is becoming.
back to the beach....
It might be late September but who cares... off to the beach for a 4 day vaca. We all need a break. We are gone every night somewhere. It is a busy season so we took off to the beach. It was overcast but still a little warm. So nice to relax and unwind and be together. Even Oscar was happy because he got to go back on the beach......
Rhythm with a Reason Dance Team
Ava decided she wanted to do praise and worship dance. I am so thankful for Mrs. Belinda who teaches these girls out of the goodness of her heart. There is no charge. Ava was in Clayton's Fall Festival and she did a wonderful job... I love seeing her on stage. So proud.
my sweet Cullen's baseball team....
I am so thankful Jodi Hardee is a mom on Cullen's team because I get awesome pictures of Cullen. I love this picture of all the boys. Cullen is the youngest but he is showing them he can play.
Life Lesson #103
Don't procrastinate. Nothing good comes of it and it is not the responsible thing to do. This is what we were trying to teach our sons on why you don't wait until the last minute to build a derby car for your RA group at church. If you want to win a metal it is best to work on it months in advance and use the proper tools. Do not do what mommy and daddy have done waiting to the night before with no correct tools or safety equipment in the garage at 9:30 p.m. praying daddy does not cut off his hand as he takes an axe to the block of wood, chops it in half, throws some wheels on the car and "wala", you got yourself a race car. Do not do that. Well my life lesson would have worked if Ethan's car would not have placed 2nd in his heat. We don't know how this happened, Ethan's face was priceless because he listened to his mother's life lesson and he had prepared himself, since the car is at an angle and the wheels are not lined up at all. So for the boys that worked months on making their race cars so perfect and exact I'm sorry, luck was on Ethan's side.
baseball is here again........
The boys are playing on the rec. league. Corey Lee is Ethan's coach and Craig Lee is Cullen's coach. I am so glad they get to play on the same team with their friends.
