THE MAN CAVE

Today while I was working on homeschool stuff, the kids were quiet.  After a while I saw what they were working on. So the man cave is Cullen's closet. And only a few people can come in. Once you are in you have to do the Man Cave Salute and do pushups. Plus there are more rules to the man cave. I love my creative kids!!!!!!

God has blessed us with a loving and thoughtful daughter. I was worried about taking Cullen out of preschool and if that was the right decision. Today Ava set up a school room for Cullen. She made him a behavior chart and a sticker chart. She said she would teach him. She has worked so hard getting things ready. I love that girl more than words could ever express. When she told Cullen she was going to be his new preschool teacher. He said Yeah! I am ready to learn.

First Day of C3

 Ava starts her 4th grade class, Ethan 2nd and Cullen starts a new class this year. I am so excited.
He loves to sing the memory songs so I know he will love his class. He is a big boy now. He will have to get up in front of class and give a presentation.  He is in class with Aaron his best buddy. Ava and Ethan are happy to be back with their friends. It's going to be a good year!

good morning surprise

This morning I woke up to this. Cullen sleeping between Nathan and I. Just what I needed to see. My sweet Cullen Lee.

last day...

Today I made the decision to take Cullen out of preschool. It was a hard decision and I lost a lot of sleep because of it. I realize just because I homeschool does not mean we can do everything and still get our school work done. So I said "Cullen this is your last day at preschool." and Ethan said, "So sad." and then Cullen said, "SO HAPPY!"

He has really never liked preschool so I guess I worried for nothing.

flipping out

Tonight while Cullen and I waited for Ava to finish dance, we went to the playground. Cullen wanted to swing. So I was pushing him and he wanted to go higher so I pushed a little more. Then all of the sudden, he let go and did a flip in the air and landed face first in the sand. It scared both of us to death! He got up and once he realized he was ok, he said, "Flipping in the air is AWESOME, but landing is not so Awesome!"

never leave a man behind

Tonight at baseball practice one of the players called Nathan, Nate and not Coach Nathan so Nathan told him to run the field. He started to run and Ethan asked Nathan if he could run with the boy. Nathan said yes. Ethan had already ran 4 laps and was resting when this happened. Ethan caught up to his team mate and he said, "I never leave a man behind." None of the other boys wanted to run an extra lap but Ethan did so his team mate did not have to run by himself.
When Ethan told me this I was speechless. What can you say. His heart is gold.

And this is another story to add to the many, many stories I have about my sweet Ethan Wallace. Tonight at baseball practice he was in the outfield and he looked down and saw this rock. He knows Ava loves to collect rocks so he picked it up and put it in his pocket for her. My sweet, sweet Ethan Wallace. He reminds me so much of my daddy. Papa is the kindest man I know and it makes me so happy to see Ethan being kind, not because anyone told him to, it is honest and pure.

We love having Hudson come play- and I think he loves it too. When he gets in Cullen's room he does not want to come out!

Daddy day

Today was a great day for Ava Grace! It was Daddy - Ava day. They were going to do anything she wanted to do.  They went Hiking at Umstead Park in Raleigh, ate lunch at Jason's Deli and then went to Barnes and Nobles to buy books! I am so glad Nathan takes time for his little girl.

3rd year....

Our first day of home school- Our 3rd year... I can't believe it. I am defiantly not a pro by any means. I am still nervous and stressed out but I am wiser. I thank God for that. I am excited about this year. Ava is 4th grade- Ethan is 2nd. This will be a fun year learning about the Middle Ages and our Universe and weather- plus math and english. We still go to Classical Conversations Co-op and we love our home school family. We also go to a co-op on Wed. to do Science and History. The kids love it and I do to.

first day....

 First day of Preschool, Cullen's last year. I can remember when I took him 2 years ago to his first day of preschool and he cried and did not want me to leave and it broke my heart. Today, he walked right in and never looked back. My heart is sad. My baby, my last one, is growing up.
