Age 8:
"I love you Papa. Papa you were always the best Dad to my Mom. Papa always put others first. Papa always gave me Pepsi."
Age 9:
Cullen came inside and said, "Mom I was going to catch a frog and freeze it then I got outside and felt this feeling in my heart not to do that then I prayed to God to please forgive me."
Age 10:
"Mom I fixed my flashlight. I worked it like a man. I took it apart and fixed it like Dad does."
"I'm not dancing" Me:"What if a pretty girl ask you to dance?" Cullen: "I'll say sorry about your luck."
Age 10:
Ava had a boy coming over to visit. Cullen said, "I'm wearing nothing but underwear." Ava said, " be yourself but wear clothes."
Age 11:
My butterfly bush died and Cullen went and looked up how to save a Butterly bush and told me all about the soil and how to check the stem to see if it is still alive.
"Dear Lord let this food nourish our bodies and be with us tomorrow and comfort us. We don't need to be sad because we know we will see Granny again in heaven. Amen
I wasn't feeling well and Cullen said "Mom I'll take care of you, I'll be your feet and hands and eyes and if I can't reach it, I'll improvise."
"Mom if anyone had you as a Mom and Ethan as a brother they would be so happy."
I fell and Cullen was the first to help, concerned and wanted to look at the cut and get it cleaned up.
Age 12:
Mom what did you do different to the eggs? They look amazing like Vegas eggs."
