Ethan wanted to have his class over for outdoor movie and dinner by the fire pit. They had a great time hanging out together. I am so glad we have that area in the woods so the kids can enjoy it.
Nathan and Ethan trip to Boston
2018 hiking
We love to hike and explore. That is one thing we have done since the kids were small. We went to the Auburn Knightdale land and walked around and found a huge rock. It is always so nice to be in nature and explore with the kids.
NC State Fair
My favorite time of the year!!!!! Mom and Dad would take me every year to the fair. Our boys have never been. Yes, there are probably a lot of germs but today we are going to have fun and eat a lot of junk. Ava was at school so she missed out. The perks of being homeschooled. We ate ham biscuits, donuts, pizza, fries, chocolate dipped anything...... It was a wonderful day. My heart was full.
Double Digits Baby
"I have waited my whole life for this day!!!"
He is finally 10. He amazes us everyday. Cullen is a deep thinker and he will tell you like it is and will not hold back but he does it in a kind way. He loves his family and loves being at home. He is faithful, loyal and protective. He loves animals and he likes to figure things out on his on. He loves his country and is very interested in History and the military. He is loved so much.
Ava's March for Hearts
Ava's freshmen year. Starting to think about college and what extra activities she could do to help her get in to college and something she could do for others. Since Ava was born with a hole in her heart she decided to create a foundation Ava's March for Hearts. We teamed up with the Children's Heart Project with Samaritan's Purse. Franklin Graham started years ago. She planned a lock-in/walk-a-thon at her church and is soliciting pledges for every mile walked from local businesses. Today was her 1st day soliciting pledges and she received $1,900! She intends to donate 100% of the proceeds to Samaritan’s Purse Children’s Heart Project.
We helped her set up and the boys walked, Nathan and I walked and 3 of Ava's friends walked. It was not the best weekend due to football games etc. so hopefully next year will be better. They walked for 12 hours. We are so proud of Ava and for her loving, generous heart to help others.
