Baby Brody

Brody Joseph Owen is finally here!  He is the cutest baby. We all were so excited to go visit him and hold him and love on him! I can't believe Adam is a daddy! I remember when he was born. Wow how time flies!

The Funeral

My kids love to have a funeral for dead insects.
Today I saw all three of them by the tree with three shovels. I went out to see what they were digging and Ava said "We are saving his soul so he will go to heaven." So I walked back to get my camera and when I got back to The Funeral they were praying over the caterpiller- "God please take care of Mr. Caterpiller and Mr. Caterpiller will you tell Granddad and Aunt Ann and Uncle Chris hello for us." They buried him and may he rest in peace.

my sweet, sweet children!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful week we have had! The kids and I talked about Jesus dieing on the cross and rising again! We watched a documentary and we did lots of crafts! It was a great learning experience for the children. Easter Sunday we went to church and then to Granny and Papa's for lunch and a big Easter Egg Hunt! Then off to the other Granny's for more fun! Cullen was so sweet to help Hudson find some eggs. It was a beautiful day to Celebrate OUR RISEN SAVIOR!

cousins....

"Cousins are those childhood playmates that grow up to be forever friends."

Hudson came to play - He had the best time. I don't think he sat down once. There was an over load of toys and loudness, but he did not seem to mind. He loves to chase Cullen- and his laugh was so cute. What a special bond they will have! Nothing is better than that.

SPRING BREAK BABY!

It was time for a break for all of us... so Florida here we come! First stop Universal and then Sea World. Nathan found this awesome resort we stayed at called Vista Cay. It was so nice- Ethan was so happy to ride some roller coasters. He is 4 inches short for some and he was sad about that. Cullen was at a perfect age because he knew what was up! Candy Apples and roller coasters. He was in heaven. I think we rode the Cat and the Hat a million times. Ava enjoyed herself b/c she got her own room and a queen size bed! We had a great time being together and the weather was beautiful. On the way home Ethan said his favorite thing was riding the Mummy roller coaster and being with his family. That sweet, sweet boy.
We also ate at our favorite place down there- Flippers! That pizza just melts in your mouth. My favorite was when we were waiting for Ethan and Nathan to ride a roller coaster, Ava, Cullen and I danced in the street while listening to the Blues Brothers! It was fun and silly- I am so glad we got to get away for a few days! It makes all the difference just to slow down a little and enjoy one another!

End of Year Ceremony

It has been such a wonderful 8 months! Classical Conversations at C3 is the one of the best things I have done. We have met great Christian friends and the kids have learned so much. Ava's class did their Periodic Table- Ethan's class performed some of their History Timeline that they memorized. We will miss everyone and look forward to this September! I can't thank God enough for the wonderful Christian teachers Ava and Ethan had!

Good ol' game of Rook

nothing like a good ol' game of Rook..
Papa is the Rook champion! Ethan thinks he knows how to play and Papa lets him think that- and guess who always wins... yep Ethan:)
