reflection

What a way to say good-bye to 2011 but to spend it at the farm. We rode the four wheeler, the tractor, watched the cows and enjoyed the peace, quiet and the beauty. When I think back at 2011 it was a learning year. I feel as if I have grown up a lot this year personally and in my marriage. I took on a huge responsibility homeschooling my children but a rewarding one. I have grown closer to some friends and further away from others. I have realized life is short. Family is the most important. God loves and forgives. Parents grow old. I am growing old. I need to laugh more and stress less. I have felt true heart break but I have also felt true joy. I accomplished a huge goal skiing my first black diamond. 2012 will be another exciting year with lots of surprises and I am sure disappointments. I pray no more loss. 2 years in a row is all I can take for now. I hope I can slow down, my kids are growing up so fast and one day they will be grown and I don't want to regret not being in the moment with them.
Happy 2012.

camping out with Cullen

tonight cullen's bed was still drying from his early accident so we camped out in his closet. It was so much fun. Cullen and I were giggling and having fun. He got a turtle that shines stars and the moon on the ceiling so we played with that and enjoyed being together. There are not many times it is just Cullen and mommy and I loved every second of it....

more Christmas.....

more family, more fun, more love.....

Happy 37th Birthday Nathan!

What a special person you must be to share a birthday with Jesus! We are so blessed to have Nathan as a daddy and a husband. We love him so much! Happy Birthday!

Christmas Morning 2011

My favorite thing ever is to see the kids faces when they walk around the corner and see what Santa had brought them. This year Cullen's first thing he said was "OH YEA!" I love it! The innocence and the pure joy they have brings so my happiness to my life. Ethan of course asked for Star Wars, Nerf guns and spy glasses.... but the best was when he opened up his Ravens Hat the smile on his face was priceless. Merry Christmas 2011!

Christmas at Granny and Papas

This is my favorite time of year. We get together- there is lots of food and laughs! There's dancing and talking about old times. Mom makes her famous Robert E. Lee cake (this year for the first time she did not make it, Armenia did) My family is so special to me and I thank God for them everyday. Ava played Christmas music for everyone and she was perfect. Of course the annual picture with all the grand kids on the couch and Cullen did not want to cooperate. I am thankful I have lived to see another Christmas and spend it with my loving Family.

friends

I love it when we get together with our friends. The Hardee's, Oliver's and Lee's! It is the best. The kids have a great time together and they are making memories that will last forever just like their dads did. If you notice Cullen is mad- Mrs. Michelle told him to put his gun down before the picture - so no smiles from Cullen Lee!
